As COVID19 has adversely affected our business we would also like to direct your attention to a children's book I published a few years ago, King Kadar's Heir. It can be found on amazon.com/kunikitabb . As a black mother, I originally wrote this book as a result of the lack of representation of black people, particularly black males, in fairytales. I thought that it was important, especially in the development of young black minds, to see themselves reflected in the heroes and heroines in which they were reading. In light of today's racial tensions, I have also realized the importance of ALL children being able to see black heroes and heroines, in the stories being read to them, as well as the stories they read themselves. Young minds are being shaped both directly and indirectly, from birth. Therefore, we should make it a point to be inclusive in our literature, fiction and nonfiction. My contribution is King Kadar's Heir. It's a rags to riches tale of a young man with a great moral compass, who is kind, who is ambitious and who happens to be black.
